Sahyadri Arts College, a constituent college of Kuvempu University, was established in 1940. It was the first college in Kuvempu University jurisdiction to be awarded ‘A’ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) as per its new re-assessment and re-accreditation policy. University Grants Commission has recognized Sahyadri Arts College as an institution with Potential for Excellence in 2010.It has a sprawling and eco-friendly campus of 79.1acres of land. The College has been offering P.G. courses in M.B.A and M.A. in Economics and Political Science since 2009.

 Kuvempu University has established several Post Graduate centers to meet the growing demand of students to pursue higher studies in different regions. The Department of PG Studies in English was established at Sahyadri Arts College in 2011.To make the college a centre of excellence in teaching, learning, research and outreach programme is our motto.
