Vocabulary Tree – A Word a Day

As part of our efforts to build a strong culture of reading, learning and using new words, the Department of English has initiated a simple yet engaging activity called the “Vocab Tree.”

The idea is to learn one new word every day and explore the different ways in which the word can be used

The activity encourages students to go beyond simply memorising vocabulary. By exploring the different forms and meanings of a word, students gradually develop a richer vocabulary and a better understanding of how words function in different contexts.

The Vocabulary Tree is a small daily practice with a larger purpose — one word at a time, growing confidence in language. 🌱📚
