One Day Special Lecture 

A special lecture was organised on 24 August 2026 for the students of the Department of English as part of the Professor of Practice lecture series. Prof. Subramanya, Kuvempu University  Professor of Practice, addressed the students on the importance of life skills, soft skills and employability skills.

In his engaging session, Prof. Subramanya highlighted the need for students to develop effective communication, confidence, teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving and interpersonal skills along with academic knowledge. He emphasised that these skills play a vital role in preparing students for higher studies, employment and a competitive professional environment.

He encouraged the students to continuously improve their abilities, develop a positive attitude and make themselves industry-ready. His motivating words inspired the students to recognise their strengths, work on areas of improvement and approach their future careers with confidence.

The lecture was an informative and motivating experience, giving students valuable insights into the skills required for personal growth and professional success.
